Sanity Please
It is good to think about where our priorities are...when to speak up and when not to speak.
I think many people are afraid to hurt others, but for 200 years, people spoke up and it helped others to hear what needed to be said...it helped them grow; put things in perspective and live along side each other...
Not everything has to be about one person's feelings...the minority's feelings should not mean more than the majority's feelings. One person should not be silenced if someone does not want to hear.
People need to get back to the roots our nation was founded on. We started this great nation; founded on the teachings of the bible...where our judicial system came from and where the idea of a republic originated. Freedom is a concept found in the bible. All men are created equal under GOD.
So, I'm passing this along to anyone who sees it.
Start speaking up like your grandparents did.
Start being the change that will bring goodness and hope back to our children's lives and sanity to our nations leaders.
Say what is true. Act with dignity. Listen and agree to disagree.
Whatever you do, don't keep silent. Don't let others drown you out because they are louder. Have your say and demand others hear you equally.
Take our nation back...to values, freedom of religion, freedom for the unborn and the old to live full lives, freedom for God's grace to hold our country and its people in the palm of his hand, protected and guided as it began.

Linger in His Presence
Linger
in My Presence a while. Rein in your impulses to plunge into the day’s
activities. Beginning your day alone with Me is essential preparation for
success. A great athlete takes time to prepare himself mentally for the
feat ahead of him before he moves a muscle. Similarly, your time of being
still in My Presence equips you for the day ahead of you. Only I know
what will happen to you this day. I have arranged the events you will
encounter as you go along your way. If you are not adequately equipped
for the journey, you will grow weary and lose heart. Relax with Me while
I ready you for action.
For
we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God
prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:10
Consider
him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow
weary and lose heart. – Hebrews 12:3

Matthew 25
The Judgment of the Nations.
31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne, 32 and all the nations* will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’
37 Then the righteous will answer him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’
40 And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ 41 Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.’
44 Then they will answer and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison, and not minister to your needs?’
45 He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.’ 46 And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Keeping Attuned to the Voice of God
Lots of voices come at us each day.
In our media, words and images bombard us.
In our culture, the way we dress, the way we drive, the way we interact with others while we are out and about...all these things are the voice of the world.
Proverbs 3:6 says: "Listen for God's voice in everything you do and everywhere you go. He is the One that will keep you on track."
Something to ponder as we all go about our day:
Am I seeing the world from the world's view, or from God's?
Lord, help me to see your army of angels surrounding me. Be with me wherever I go. Keep me attuned to your voice and help those I see, talk to and drive by, through prayer and deed.
In your name I pray.
Amen.

A Spirit of Expectation
The Fall of the Roman empire happened because it's leaders forgot they were there to serve the people and the people distrusted the Empire. It collapsed within.
Many compare the US at this time to the Roman Empire. See today's Denison Forum Post:

But, also see his call to prayer. It ain't over until the fat lady sings people, so get on your knees today and pray for our leaders, for a renewal in their outlook to know and guide by the laws of our constitution. That their hearts open to the presence of the One True God.
With an election weeks away and a new case of Ebola in New York, we have much to pray about.
Let's pray for others today. Pray for those now infected and all the workers risking their lives to help others throughout the world.
Pray, not in fear, but in a spirit of expectation. We Christians believe Jesus Christ has already saved the world. That is truly good news. We need to believe and act. Renew your relationship with the one who saves and share your faith with a friend. Pray together.
"Don't be afraid. Just STAND where you are and WATCH and you will see the WONDERFUL way the LORD will rescue YOU today." Exodus 14:13

I DARE YOU!
I Double Dog DARE YOU!
Today, you have the opportunity to be an instrument of change.
All you do can be in service to someone to make the world a little brighter.
All your trials can be offered up for the disobedient actions of yourself and others throughout the world.
All you do can therefore be a prayer.
When the bible says to pray constantly, I think this is what it means. All we do and say should be to honor God, desire His will and to praise Him.
I dare you to try this today. See where it leads you!
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." -Deuteronomy 6:5 (NIV)

Looking for Joy is often as easy as looking into an inspirational book, article or even a quote...google has it's flaws, but also it can be used to find blessings!
A friend of mine shared this with me...you never know where it will come from...but how about creating a file of the Joyful passages and the promises of God somewhere out in the "cloud" or on your computer and when you need it most, you'll have a personal treasure trove of inspiration that has spoken directly to your heart.
I'm starting mine today with this passage from JESUS CALLING by Sarah Young:
No
matter what your circumstances may be, you can find joy in My Presence.
On some days Joy is generously strewn along your life-path, glistening in the
sunlight. On the days like that, being content is as simple as breathing
the next breath or taking the next step. Other days are overcast and gloomy;
you feel the strain of the journey, which seems endless. Dull gray rocks
greet your gaze and cause your feet to ache. Yet Joy is still attainable.
Search for it as for hidden treasure.
Begin
by remembering that I have created this day; it is not a chance
occurrence. Recall that I am present with you whether you sense My
Presence or not. Then, start talking with Me about whatever is on your mind.
Rejoice in the
fact that I understand you perfectly, and I know exactly what you are
experiencing. As
you continue communicating with Me, your mood will gradually lighten.
Awareness of My marvelous Companionship can infuse Joy into the grayest day.
Surely
you have granted him eternal blessing and made him glad with the joy of your
presence. – Psalm 21:6
And
if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure. –
Proverbs 2:4

The more people I talk to...Christians and non-Christians, all I hear is discouragement, depression and fear of the future.
That is not what we are here for! We are here to point the way to the One who created us. To the Savior who has set us free from the world. He has given us all He has and wants what is best for us.
Unfortunately, what we think we want or need is not always what He sees either or now or for down the road to be for our highest good. Our selfishness and pride have caused us to forget where all our blessings really come from!
This blog is an invitation to turn the tide. To change our perspective and to become individuals and a society that embraces HOPE.
My challenge has nothing to do with ice buckets. It is a challenge to change the world, the climate, the wars and the evils we see in the world and in the news.
You can be an instrument of change.
Accept the challenge!
Your prayer can make all the difference and turn the tide. Have hope. Believe.

- Repent, pray for forgiveness and conversion and believe in God's promises of Divine Mercy.
- Say the Rosary. Ask for help from the Mother of God (who has a Son who loves her and listens to her and who is also mother to the saints and to us).
Your prayer can make all the difference and turn the tide. Have hope. Believe.
...
I'm going to challenge myself and anyone who stumbles across this little blog to do big things by doing simple things. If you do, I'm almost certain, you'll find yourself less fearful, empowered by the promises of God, and much more hopeful for the future.
Join the revolution. It started over 2000 years ago and can be revived today to bring Joy and Grace to the world and to our hearts and minds.
Fast. Pray. Repent. Pray for the conversion of others. Please join me in a revival of the Spirit and the Grace of God will pour out...
Today's Challenge: Find a quote from the bible that promises you hope or Joy.
Pollyanna said there were quite a few "glad" passages in the Bible. Go find one! Then share it here!
Here is my verse:
Joshua 1:7
"Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you. Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go." (NIV)
